EXCLUSIVE: OTT Rubbishes Rumours Of Buying Any Big Ticket Film Including ‘Laxmmi Bomb’

Since the Coronavirus Pandemic and lockdown, everything has been shut since a month now. Looking at the situation all around the world, it seems that this virus is here to stay for a longer time. Everything including film industry had to stop working and stay home.

During this time, there have been a lot of speculations and fake news trending on social media about big budget movies going for OTT release directly. In recent news, some media portals are sharing articles of Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer Laxmmi Bomb going to have a OTT release and not a theatrical release.

However, this news can not be true as 5 days shoot of the film is still pending to be shot. This, now can only take place once the lockdown period is over.

According to our sources close to OTT and producer of the film, OTT has clearly stated that they are not looking to buy any big films at the moment as they can’t justify 150-200 cr recovery in India. There isn’t any pay per view model in India like it is in USA, where film is charged in excess of 10$.

Hence, some ‘so-called’ critics and entertainment media portals are creating confusion for no logical reason which shouldn’t be the case. Laxmmi Bomb, as planned, will hit just the theatres and not any OTT service. You heard it first here!
