Prabhudeva has finally ended his career as director and now onwards he will focus his energies as an actor. This move has not shocked many as his late record as director remained dismal.

Prabhudeva storms the box office and revived Salman Khan’s career with ‘Wanted’ in 2009 which was remake of south film ‘Pokkiri’ (2006). Film became such a big rage that it cemented Prabhu Deva’s place as marque director. He delivered big blockbuster ‘Rowdy Rathore’ with Akshay Kumar in 2012 followed by a decent earner ‘Ramaiya Vastavaiya’ in 2013. Same year he directed Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘R…Rajkumar’ which also did well at box office.

And then came big slump! Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Action Jackson’ in 2014 received heavy criticism and didn’t do well at box office. After Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar suffered with an equally embarrassing film ‘Singh Is king’ in 2015. In 2019, Salman Khan starrer ‘Dabangg 3’ met similar fate with poor reviews all over and not so satisfying box office numbers. Earlier this year Salman Khan starrer ‘Radhe’ was kind of last nail in the coffin for Prabhudeva’s career as director. Film became centre of memes and was huge disappointment even for Salman Khan fans.

After these series of failures, Prabhudeva has rightly decided to quit as director and focus his all energies on his acting career. Now Salman Khan has to figure out a new director for his remake bandwagon!
