Helmed by popular TV series “Saas Bina Sasural” Director Amar Preet Chhabra and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Harman Baweja, Honeymoon, a Punjabi movie, stars Gippy Grewal, Naresh Kathooria, Jasmin Bhasin, Karamjit Anmol.
It showcases a story of a couple where Sukh’s wedding wish gets fulfilled on Honeymoon and family members realise nobody has ever been outside their village, not knowing what honeymoon is. As a consequence, they all (13 people) plan to go along Sukh and Deep for their honeymoon.
It released yesterday and had a decent collection at the Box-office amounting to Rs 85 lac nett in India with 55 lacs nett coming from national chains. One could say that its entertaining plot is making people watch it. It clashed with big bollywood films Thank God starring Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra and Akshay Kumar Starrer Ram Setu and that is why this number is good achievement.
‘But Deep’s naive and extended family, blissfully unaware of what a honeymoon actually entails, tag along with the newlyweds, as they have never been out of their village. And thus begins a mad ride of 16 people travelling together on the honeymoon which is only meant for the lovebirds,” states its formal synopsis.
