Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta seems like utilizing all his lockdown time by working on his upcoming projects. The director was currently in news for his film Mumbai Saga which stars John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi. The casting of Shootout 3 is also going to begin soon. Now we got the news that the director has already locked the main lead for his most ambitious superhero project, Rakshak. Sanjay announced this film earlier this year.
Now the face of this superhero flick is none other than John Abraham. Seems like Sanjay Gupta has found his vigilante superhero in John.
The film is the adaptation of Shamik Dasgupta’s graphic novel, Rakshak: A Hero Within Us. It is a dark, cerebral, yet elevating tale of one man who decides to stand up and fight injustice and crime.
If sources are to be believed John Abraham was the only choice Sanjay has in mind since he announced the film. It will be produced by Sanjay Gupta and co-produced by Yali Dream Creations’ Asvin Srivatsangam along with Vivek Rangachari.
