A brand had chosen to cease streaming of their advertising using Aryan Khan’s father Shah Rukh Khan shortly after he was jailed in a drugs case on October 3. Several Bollywood celebs have already spoken out in favour of SRK, claiming that the actor is far more important than the brand.
Despite advance bookings, the edtech company has removed advertisements featuring Shah Rukh Khan. After receiving outrage on social media channels such as Twitter, they made this decision. Shah Rukh Khan is the face of a number of well-known brands, including Dubai Tourism, ICICI Bank, Hyundai, LG, and Reliance Jio. Byju’s, on the other hand, was one of the actor’s most lucrative sponsorship deals. According to estimates, SRK has a Rs. 3-4 crore annual deal with Byju’s.
Advertisements for the IPL were also criticised by Byju’s. However, as IPL nears its conclusion, the company started featuring all the ads again that features superstar Shah Rukh Khan for all IPL campaigns. This clearly demonstrates that, regardless of the situation, SRK’s stardom stays untouched.
According to reports, Khan’s connection to the brand is so strong that even if they push the stop button, it will be tough for the company to separate itself from him. With a valuation of roughly $18 billion, Byju’s is presently the most valuable company. Meanwhile, with a brand worth of $51.1 million, SRK came in fourth in Duff & Phelps’ celebrity brand valuation assessment.
