- Devdas
The movie released in 2002 showcases Devdas’ (Bhrahim zamindar’s younger son) life moving downward as he indulges in alcohol and a life of vice to relieve the pain. It is a tragic story of star-crossed lovers. On the other hand, Parvati, Brahmin family’s daughter.
Devdas likes Parvati. Her family proposes to Devdas’ family for their marriage, but they are embarrassed and their proposal is refuted and Devdas goes to Calcutta. Parvati gets married and Devdas feels heartbroken. He meets Chunilal, who makes him meet Chandramukhi. Chandramukhi begins liking Devdas, but Devdas understands that Parvati was his true love.
