Akshay Kumar is all set to star in Bell Bottom produced by Vashu Bhagnani. The film has been making noise ever since it was announced. Recently a leading tabloid reported that Akshay has charged an upfront acting fee of Rs. 117 crores for the thriller. Later the same tabloid also reported that the ‘Vashu Bhagnani requests Akshay Kumar to reduce his fees by Rs. 30 crores for Bell Bottom’. The report claimed that Akshay agreed to this.

The tabloid even quoted a trade source as saying, “Akshay knows the on-ground scenario and doesn’t want to put a lot of burden on the film. He has graciously agreed on reducing his acting fees by Rs. 30 crores. However, the catch here is, if the film earns huge returns, he will be reimbursed for the discount given at the moment. Nonetheless, if the film doesn’t over-perform at the box office, his fees would stand in the range of Rs. 85 to 90 crores, as it stands presently.”

Now retweeting the same piece of news, the actor himself slammed the reports. Akshay wrote, “what waking up to fake scoop feels like!”
