Fardeen Khan, who has been away from screens in a long time, made news last year when he was spotted outside casting director Mukesh Chhabra’s Mumbai office. He appeared to be in better shape and thinner than he had been since his last significant public appearance in 2016. Khan is seeking for opportunities to start his second innings as an actor, according to casting director Chhabra, who confirmed this in December.
According to the latest speculations, Fardeen Khan has struck a deal with filmmaker Sanjay Gupta for his return film. Sanjay Gupta’s upcoming film, Visfot, stars Riteish Deshmukh. According to reports, Khan will portray a taxi driver and an ex-drug dealer, while Deshmukh would portray a commercial airline pilot. The plot of the film is reported to revolve around what happens after Khan’s character kidnaps Deshmukh’s son by mistake. The film is reported to be a remake of a foreign language film that was nominated for an Academy Award.
Samit Kakkad, who previously helmed Half Ticket and the MX Player sitcom Indori Ishq, will direct the film, which is penned by Abbas Dalal and Hussain Dalal. For the past three years, Gupta has been planning to make this film. Now that the team is in place, the filmmakers are planning to start shooting the film early next year, once they find a studio to partner with to produce it under Gupta’s White Feature Films banner.
