‘Don,’ starring Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s film of the same name, celebrated its 14th anniversary a few months ago. Since the release of ‘Don 2’ in 2011, Farhan has not directed a film. In recent years, the 46-year-old has shifted his concentration to acting.
Fans anticipated that the makers might reveal ‘Don 3’ on Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday, November 2, but this did not happen.
Now the latest reports state that Farhan Akhtar has locked the script for the the third franchise of the much awaited film. Reports from a source close to the development suggests that Farhan liked two stories and the first draft for both the stories are under making. These drafts will be presented before Shah Rukh Khan and whichever he selects will go on the floors by 2022. With this film, Farhan will mot oy direct but will also be seen onnthe screen.
Talking about ‘Don,’ the film centred around a look-alike of the titular character who is sent on a mission to mimic the Don after he is injured in order to thwart the drug mafia’s terrible schemes.
Shah Rukh Khan’s most recent film appearance was in Aanand L Rai’s ‘Zero,’ which was released in 2018. For his upcoming film ‘Pathan,’ he is slated to collaborate with Siddharth Anand. Deepika Padukone and John Abraham are said to star in the film with a cameo by Salman Khan.
