Farhan Akhtar‘s 120 Bahadur, set during the 1962 Sino-Indian War, premiered in cinemas this Friday. The movie honors the heroes of the Battle of Rezang La, where the Charlie Company made a valiant stand against a significant force of the Chinese army. To celebrate the film’s launch, the producers recently organized a special screening in Delhi, attended by high-ranking officials from the Indian Army, including General Upendra Dwivedi.

Posting images from the event, Farhan expressed, “A moment of pride as General Upendra Dwivedi, PVSM, AVSM, Brigadiers, Major Generals, Army personnel, and their families joined us for a special screening of 120 Bahadur in Delhi.”
Social media users flooded the comments section to praise the film. One user commented, “For every genuine patriot, this film is essential viewing. I watched it at the Gurugram PVR today, and the theater was completely packed! Farhan Akhtar’s effort is remarkable; he has truly honored the legacy of Major Shaitan Singh.”
Another added, “Yesterday, we went for fdfs. After watching, my wife and I were utterly astonished and moved. We were left speechless.”
Prior to its release, the film’s creators met with India’s Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh. Sharing a photo, Farhan wrote, “What better way to pay tribute to the courage and sacrifice of our fallen soldiers. Today, the Indian Postal Service honored the Battle of Rezang La by launching a new MyStamp in its remembrance. Thank you to the Hon Defence Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh ji for taking the time to inaugurate it. We are deeply appreciative.”
Directed by Razneesh Ghai, the film also features Raashii Khanna.
