The biopic of Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma has been in the news for quite some time now. The film is said to be titled ‘Saare Jahaan Se Achcha‘ and marks the return of filmmaker Mahesh Mathai.
There was a lot of speculation around that title role of the film. Big names like Shah Rukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor and Salman Khan were highlighted to play the role.
However, now according to the reports, Farhan Akhtar is currently in talks with Mahesh regarding the film.
As per the information, if things went as planned then Farhan had to go under an immense physical transformation. He will have to complete his current commitments to begin the preparation.
“After a lot of brainstorming, the team zeroed in on Farhan as he played athlete Milkha Singh to perfection in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Talks are on and after finishing his current commitments, he is expected to jump into the prep, which includes body transformation, physical training and understanding the nuances of an astronaut,” the source was quoted as saying.
“The script with the dialogue draft is locked. With the lead actor on board now, they will proceed towards getting together an ensemble cast and then work on the timeline of the shoot,” the source added.
