Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor are teaming up for the romantic comedy Abir Gulaal. They are currently filming in the scenic city of London. The production kicked off on September 29, announced by production house Indian Stories.

Directed by Aarti S Bagdi, Abir Gulaal promises to be a heartfelt tale of love and healing. Bagdi offered some insight into the film’s storyline.
She said, “The film explores the journey of two individuals who unintentionally help each other heal, with love blossoming as an unexpected consequence.”
This sets the stage for a romantic story that digs deeper than just your usual rom-com fluff.
The movie, produced by Vivek B Agrawal, Avantika Hari, and Rakesh Sippy, is set to be a visual treat.
The producers shared their excitement, particularly about Fawad’s role, stating, “Fawad has a massive global fan base, and we anticipate that audiences and his fans will wholeheartedly embrace this film, as it showcases him in his most endearing role yet.”
They also highlighted the sizzling on-screen chemistry between Fawad and Vaani, which is expected to be one of the film’s major highlights.
Filming To Go On Till November
The film’s UK shooting schedule will continue through October and November, with plenty of scenic London backdrops to add to the charm. The soundtrack for Abir Gulaal is already generating buzz, as a leading Bollywood composer has created six original tracks.
These songs will be performed by top Bollywood music talent, ensuring the film’s music becomes as much a part of the experience as the narrative.
Fawad Khan & Vaani Kapoor’s Work Front
For Fawad Khan, Abir Gulaal marks another significant project in Indian cinema. He first stole hearts in Bollywood with his 2014 debut in Khoobsurat, opposite Sonam Kapoor. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, the film was a modern retelling of the 1980 classic.
Fawad’s charm and acting prowess led to his appearance in 2016 hit Kapoor & Sons, alongside Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. He was last seen in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 2016, sharing the screen with Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
As for Vaani Kapoor, her last appearance was in Khel Khel Mein, a film that co-starred Akshay Kumar. However, it failed to make an impact at the box office.
