Shah Rukh Khan starrer King is facing a delay once again. The project was set to begin filming in March 2025, but will now go on floors in June. According to fresh reports, the postponement is due to director Siddharth Anand refining the script to make it bigger and better.

A source quoted by Bollywood Hungama revealed that Siddharth Anand and Shah Rukh Khan (who previously worked together on Pathaan) are aiming to take things up a notch. The director is making sure everything is perfect on paper before production begins.
The film will be shot across India and Europe, with the makers targeting a late 2026 release. The production houses, Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix are committed to delivering a grand cinematic experience on the big screen.
Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, King will feature Suhana Khan in a major role. Munjya actor Abhay Verma is also part of the cast.
What SRK Said About The Film Earlier
SRK has been vocal about his excitement for the project. At the Locarno Film Festival, he described King as an action-packed Hindi film that he had been wanting to do for years. He shared that the team initially brought Sujoy Ghosh on board because they wanted strong emotional depth in the story. He added that the film would be a mix of action, mass appeal, and emotions.
Later, during an event in Abu Dhabi, SRK spoke about the film again. He mentioned that he would be filming for a few months but couldn’t reveal much as Siddharth Anand had strictly instructed him to stay quiet about the details. However, he assured fans that the film would be highly entertaining.
