Hera Pheri and its sequel starred Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, which released in 2000 and 2006, respectively. Akshay Kumar is quite popular with his “Raju” look from Phir Hera Pheri. It is important to note Akshay had clearly denied, saying, “The film was offered to me but I was not satisfied with the script. I have to do what people want to see. That is why, I backed out. I took a step behind.”
Akshay starrer Awara Pagal Deewana and Welcome released in 2002, 2007, respectively. Welcome’s sequel Welcome Back in 2015 starred John Abraham. Producer Firoz Nadiadwala and Eros International own the Hera Pheri franchise. The latest bollywood news is that Firoz has struck a deal of whopping Rs 35-crore with Eros International for Hera Pheri, Awara Pagal Deewana, Welcome.
As per Times Of India, the payment will be done by the month end and Parag Sanghvi initiated the deal. The process seems to be fast-tracking for the Hera Pheri threequel so that to commence the film as soon as possible, which will be directed by Anees Bazmee.
