Ayan Mukerji directorial Brahmastra is making headlines ever since the film was announced. The mythological fantasy starring Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been scheduled to release on December 4.
However, there are still 10-12 days of shoot left and the Coronavirus followed by lockdown acted like a roadblock. There are reports that the film will not make it to the scheduled date.
However, nothing official has come from the team, some media report suggested that Ayan is planning the unveil the first look of the film in August through a preview trailer.
There are also reports that a campaign is being worked out wherein a series of videos will lead to Brahmastra’s release and presently VFX work is in the process which is being done by a London-based company.
“It’s a scaled-up film and they are planning a prolonged campaign with a series of videos leading up to the release, like it happens in the West. The first of the lot is expected to be out by August, once the visuals are polished,” a source was quoted as saying.
According to the information, Ayan is partially working on the screenplay and dialogue of Brahmastra part 2 which is expected to go on the floors after the first part.
Brahmastra, produced by Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Productions also stars Nagarjuna, Dimple Kapadia and Mouni Roy.
