Fatima Sana Shaikh is all set to feature in Abhishek Sharma’s Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari. The Dangal star will be seen playing a Marathi mulgi in the Zee Studios production, that is currently being shot in various locations in Mumbai.
She took language training from Marathi diction coach for her character.
A daily quoted a source as saying, “Fatima did multiple readings with director Abhishek Sharma and worked on her body language to mould herself in the role before the film went on the floor. She has completely transformed herself for the film, the audiences will be in for a real treat!”
Talking about the film and the reason he chose Sana, Abhishek said, “Her character has a dual personality for which we needed an actor who could play vulnerable, mysterious ad assertive with equal ease. Fatima is an excellent talent who has the quality to get into all these emotions at will. She is extremely punctual, very involved and dedicated to her work. Her infectious enthusiasm keeps us all energized on the set!”
Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, is a family comedy film set in the 90’s Mumbai. The film also stars Diljit Dosanjh and Manoj Bajpayee and is slated to be released in the second half of the year.
