In a tragic incident, Argentine football legend Diego Armando Maradona passed away. The veteran footballer died of a heart attack on Wednesday. Two weeks ago, he had undergone a surgery to remove a blood clot in his brain.

He was born on October 30, 1960, in a shanty town on the outskirts of Buenos Aires. He made his debut with the first-division soccer club Argentinos Juniors in 1976, days before turning 16.
