Gadar 2, which is a sequel to the 2001 blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha has been raking in unexpectedly high collections at box office in India. The film, directed by Anil Sharma, features Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma reprising their roles from the first film. The film has received rave reviews from the critics and the audiences alike.
A screening of the film, turned into a nightmare for the moviegoers at a theatre inside Noida’s Logix Mall on Sunday. The screen projector malfunctioned multiple times during the show, causing repeated interruptions and spoiling the viewing experience. The audience, who had booked tickets for the Sunday show, were left frustrated and angry. Some of them even created a ruckus inside the theatre and demanded a refund.
According to reports, the projector stopped working at least four times during the screening and the fans of Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, who had eagerly waited for the film’s release, were left disappointed by the technical glitch at the theatre. Some of them even raised slogans against the theatre management and called the police to intervene. The police arrived at the spot and tried to pacify the agitated crowd. The theatre staff also apologised for the inconvenience and assured to refund the money to all the viewers.
The PVR team at Noida’s Logix Mall confirmed that they will refund the complete amount to everyone and also apologised for the inconvenience. They also said that they are looking into the matter and will fix the issue as soon as possible.

Going by advances, it was evident that film will take a massive start on day one all over. Film was super strong in central India, north and south. West Bengal and Punjab were little subdued and improved from day two onwards once the tsunami of craze took over.

Gadar 2 crossed 40.10 cr net on day one. Film needed to be solid in next two days as national Holiday is on Tuesday which means insane total for the film on cards. Film dropped by small margin in single screens but grew in national chains. Film collected 43.18 cr on day two which was fantastic after such massive day one.
Film scored historic say at box office on Sunday with 52 cr net figure all India with housefull boards all over. Film has crossed 135 cr over weekend and that is only second to Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan. It has massive national holiday on day 5 and week 1 will cross 200 cr and 225 cr can’t be ruled out.

Sunday: 52 cr (20% jump)
