Two fans tragically died in a road accident after attending the pre-release event of Ram Charan‘s upcoming film, Game Changer, in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh.
The victims (Arava Manikanta and Thokada Charan) from Gaigolupadu in Kakinada, collided with a van while riding home on their motorcycle. Despite being rushed to the hospital, both succumbed to their injuries later that night.
The incident followed the energetic event held on January 5, 2025, which attracted huge crowds and notable figures, including Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. Local authorities have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
Game Changer Producer Declares Rs 10 Lakh Financial Assistance To The Families Of Deceased
Producer Dil Raju expressed deep sorrow over the tragedy and announced Rs 1-0 lakh in financial aid for the victims’ families. In a statement, he said, “It is painful when such tragedies occur during celebratory moments.”
The production team shared their condolences and said, “Producer #DilRaju garu announced Rs10 lakhs and assured support to the families of the two individuals, Arava Manikanta & Thokada Charan, who tragically lost their lives following the #GameChanger event. Our deepest condolences to their loved ones in this difficult time.”
Pawan Kalyan also acknowledged the tragedy and raised concerns about fan safety at large events. On behalf of his party, Jana Sena, he pledged Rs 5 lakh to each of the bereaved families.

Game Changer, directed by Shankar and starring Ram Charan alongside Kiara Advani and SJ Suryah, is scheduled to release on January 10, 2025. The film has generated high expectations among fans.
