Ever since the ace filmmakers of the industry announced his upcoming film Gangubai Kathiawadi with Alia Bhatt, fans were eagerly waiting for the updates regarding the film.
The story of the film revolves around the life of Gangubai, who was pushed into prostitution at an early age. She later became an extremely influential pimp with numerous ferocious gangsters as her client.
Now the latest news states that the intimate scene between Alia and her lover from the film will be dropped. The reason being the severe guidelines pertaining to social distancing to be implemented on shooting locations.
It was Bhansali’s decision to do away with a tender love sequence between Alia Bhatt and her love interest on screen which is played by dancer-turned actor Shantanu Maheshwari.
A source close to the development informed, “I guess it’s better to be safe than sorry in these troubled times. Physical intimacy would definitely be avoided in Bhansali’s shooting. He will find another way of showing a romantic closeness.”
Gangubai Kathiawadi will also star Ajay Devgn in a small but important role. The film also has Emraan Hashmi in the pivotal role. The shooting is now expected to resume after the monsoon.
