Google featured DDLJ as a game changing moment for India post independence. It presents the movie as “India ki Udaan” (new hashtag used by Google on twitter for India celebrating 75 years of independence).
DDLJ is a quintessential and fairy tale love story that paved the way for Indian Cinema in an unforgettable way and gave the world one of the most loved classics.
About 26 years ago, on 20th October 1995, the movie was released and set a benchmark for the whole industry. This film didn’t just break records, it shattered them. It is the first Bollywood film to have an uninterrupted theatrical run of over 25 years, making it highlight in the “75 years of India kiUdaan by Google”.
