Actor Bhumi Pednekar has completed filming for her upcoming movie Bhakshak, the makers announced it 2 years back in 2022. Set in Bihar, it is inspired by true events and lays bare the ground reality of crimes against women.
Bhakshak Runtime And Release
Shah Rukh Khan produced a gritty thriller Bhakshak based on real events in Bihar. Film was shot during Covid times and was wrapped in first quarter of 2022. Film was wishing for release for long time and finally there is update.
Film is 2 hours 16 minutes 47 seconds long (136:47 minutes) and was censored today. Film will release in next few months and as per inside reports, film should release by March end or April. There were murmurs that it might release directly on ott skipping theatrical release but no such news was confirmed at any point of time.
Synopsis Of Bhakshak
According to the official synopsis, the film revolves around the journey of an unwavering woman’s quest to seek justice and her perseverance in getting a heinous crime to light.
About Bhakshak
Pulkit of Bose: Dead or Alive fame has directed Bhakshak and co-written it with Jyotsana Nath. The film is produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s banner Red Chillies Entertainment.

In the film, Pednekar plays a feisty journalist who realises the consequences, threats and intimidation she may face as she uncovers a story. Bhumi too tweeted back then about the film.

Bhakshak also stars Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava and Sai Tamhankar in pivotal roles.
