Gunmaaster G9 Lands Rs 35 Crore Advance Deal As Pen Marudhar Expands Its Big-Ticket Hindi Slate

A Rs 35 crore-plus advance deal is the kind of number that instantly gets the trade talking, and Gunmaaster G9 has now done exactly that. Pen Marudhar has moved swiftly to lock the film, turning Emraan Hashmi’s next big-screen outing into one of the more closely watched Hindi market acquisitions of the season. The move also underlines how aggressively the distributor is building its theatrical lineup.

Pen Marudhar Acquires Gunmaaster G9 For Rs 35 Crore

Box Office Worldwide has learned that Pen Marudhar has acquired the all-India distribution rights of Gunmaaster G9 for more than Rs 35 crore. The acquisition adds another major title to the company’s growing slate, which already includes Awarapan 2, Love & War and King.

The size of the deal signals strong confidence in the film’s commercial prospects. With Emraan Hashmi leading the cast, Gunmaaster G9 has emerged as a notable trade title well ahead of release.

Pen Marudhar has also acquired the Hindi version of Jailer 2 for upwards of Rs 15 crore, taking the combined value of its two latest buys to more than Rs 50 crore. Jailer 2 brings Rajinikanth back as Muthuvel Pandian, with Vidya Balan and Mithun Chakraborty joining the cast. The sequel is slated to release in cinemas on October 15, 2026.

Why The Deal Matters

In the current distribution climate, a Rs 35 crore-plus all-India advance stands out as a serious show of faith in a film’s box office potential. That kind of early commitment usually reflects confidence in a title’s theatrical reach, genre packaging and cast value before marketing enters its peak phase.

For Pen Marudhar, the acquisition strengthens a slate that is increasingly tilted toward large-scale theatrical bets. For the market, it places Gunmaaster G9 among the Hindi releases that distributors clearly see as more than just a routine addition to the calendar.

Gunmaaster G9 Cast, Crew And Film Details

Gunmaaster G9 is directed by Aditya Datt, best known for Aashiq Banaya Aapne. The film stars Emraan Hashmi, Genelia Deshmukh and Aparshakti Khurana. It is mounted as a mainstream commercial entertainer and is scheduled to release in cinemas on November 27, 2026.

Emraan Hashmi’s Recent And Upcoming Work

Emraan Hashmi’s recent work has moved across both theatrical and streaming spaces. He featured in Tiger 3 in 2023 alongside Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, and followed that with Ae Watan Mere Watan in 2024, which released on Prime Video. In 2026, he returned with Awarapan 2, reviving one of his best-known titles for audiences with career best box office collection.

That run gives Gunmaaster G9 added market context. It arrives at a point when Hashmi is balancing familiar franchise recall with fresh commercial outings, making the film an important theatrical play in his current phase. With Aditya Datt directing and Pen Marudhar backing the release with a sizeable advance, the project has already positioned itself as a serious trade title months before it reaches cinemas.
