The offer is being positioned as an opening day boost, with a few conditions attached. Viewers need to book two tickets to avail the benefit, and the discount applies to tickets priced up to Rs. 200.
The advance booking for the film begins today, June 2, in the evening. For a comedy headlined by a popular star and backed by a recognisable director, the pricing strategy is designed to increase early footfalls and make the Friday opening more accessible across key centres.
Cbfc Clears Film With U/A 16+ Certificate And Visual Changes
Box Office Worldwide has exclusively learned that the Central Board of Film Certification cleared Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai with a U/A 16+ certificate after asking for multiple changes. At four places, the Examining Committee asked for a word to be replaced with an appropriate term, while a visual of a vulgar hand gesture was also asked to be replaced.
The censor changes also included blurring the name of a condom brand and muting the word indicating flavour names. A shot featuring the names of Jos Butler and Ben Stokes was visually edited to 6 seconds. The makers were also asked to zoom in on the face and upper body in visuals of dancing women where undergarments were visible.
After these changes were completed, the censor certificate was issued on May 27. The final runtime of the film stands at 136.40 minutes, which means Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is 2 hours, 16 minutes and 40 seconds long.
