Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Plans For Heeramandi 2
In an interview with Variety Magazine, Bhansali shared his experiences and the challenges faced while creating this magnum opus. Despite the immense time commitment, he assured fans that a second season is in the works, supported by Netflix.
He explained, “In Heeramandi 2, the women now come from Lahore to the film world. They leave Lahore after the Partition and most of them settle in the Mumbai or Kolkata film industry. They still have to dance and sing, but this time for the producers and not for the nawabs. So that’s the second season we are planning, let’s see where it goes.”
