Eros International has issued a public notice claiming that it has the sole and exclusive rights to the upcoming Bollywood film Hera Pheri 3, which stars Akshay Kumar. This comes after T-Series issued a similar notice claiming all audio and visual rights to the film’s franchise. Eros International has claimed that it holds the Intellectual Property Rights as well as the rights to the title, digital rights, and music rights on a ‘sole and exclusive basis’. The notice also mentioned that Eros has similar rights to all the forthcoming films of Firoz Nadiadwala, including Awara Paagal Deewana 2.
Now here comes the latest development. In number one trade magazine ‘Complete Cinema’, Eros International has issued a public notice claiming all rights of ‘Hera Pheri’. Notice states that any franchise film also will be covered under that.
The legal dispute over the rights to Hera Pheri 3 has caused concern among fans. The film has been in the works for some time and stars Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal. The film’s production company, Base Industries Group, has been accused of not taking the necessary steps to secure the rights to the film’s music and distribution. The legal notices from T-Series and Eros International have added to the uncertainty and confusion around the film.

In number one trade magazine ‘Complete Cinema’, Bhushan Kumar’s T Series has issued a public notice claiming all audio and visual rights of songs of ‘Hera Pheri’. Notice states that any franchise film also will be covered under that.
This simply indicates that Feroz Nadiadwala havn’t informed T Series or asked any NOC regarding the next part of franchise in terms of music or using any audio from the original film. Generally all sequels do carry some sort of importation from audio of original.
Let’s see where this film goes and how many more hurdles to cross. Full fledge shoot is rumoured to start from October,2023.
