Varun Dhawan is quite busy this year with back to back film and promotions. Currently, his dance flick Street Dancer 3D is set to hit the theaters. Featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Nora Fatehi and helmed by Remo D’souza, this is the second collaboration with choreographer-turned-director after ABCD 2.
After Street Dancer 3D Varun will be seen in Coolie No 1 which also stars Sara Ali Khan & is directed by his father and filmmaker David Dhawan.
According to Varun, the film is not a sequel of old Coolie No 1 but an adaptation. He says even though the film is for this generation the screenplay will remain original.
The October actor also mentioned that he and Sara are doing what his seniors Govinda and Karisma Kapoor did in the original film.
Along with Coolie No 1, Varun will be seen doing another quirky comedy, Mr. Lele with Shashank Khaitan. The actor, director duo is making their third collaboration with this film after Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Varun is looking forward to exploring the comedy thriller genre with this film. Varun revealed that he called Shashank 109 times after reading the script.
Meanwhile, Street Dancer 3D, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Lizelle D’Souza, is set to release on January 24, 2020.
