Yesterday sequel ‘Mardaani 2’ released around 1560 screens all over the country. Film is baaed on current issues going on in country and that makes it relevant.
Film opened 10-15% opening and it did improve through the day as it was multiplex film anyways plus good reviews did help. Film got stiff competition from Hollywood release though other Bollywood release ‘The Body’ faired very badly.
Film collected 3.80 cr nett on day one which is fair result considering opening in morning show. Film grew across the board today riding on positive reviews and good word of mouth.
Film collected 6.55 cr nett on Saturday with 45% growth. Film grew again on Sunday by 20% and collected 7.80 cr nett. Film has weekend total of 18.15 cr nett.
Now with steady Monday film can go to a decent lifetime collection and with this trend over weekend film is already a hit!!
