Swara Bhaskar is known for Veere Di Wedding, Tanu Weds Manu, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and is quite outspoken on various socio-political issues. She has received two screen awards and a nomination for a Filmfare Awards on various occasions.
In an interview to Mid day, she said, “I blame Aditya Chopra sir and Shah Rukh Khan for ruining my love life. I watched ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ at a tender age, ever since I have been looking for Raj, who looks like Shah Rukh. It has taken me many years to realise that Raj doesn’t exist. I don’t think I’ very good at relationships.”
Bhaskar was apparently talking from a humorous point of view and from the film context. However, many media outlets have twisted her statement for a few clicks and put headlines that indicate Shah Rukh and Aditya Chopra ruined her love life, which actually didn’t. It was just an easy way to comprehend, however they sensationalised her statement.
