Irony At It’s Best: Tiger Shroff Confirms Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Sequel, Ganpath Planned As Franchise Too But Disastrous Business Curtailed The Plans

Bollywood star Tiger Shroff has set the rumor mills abuzz with his recent revelation about the film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The action-packed comedy, which originally starred Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda, is now poised to become a franchise. In an exclusive interview, Tiger Shroff confirmed that there is not only scope but also certainty of a sequel.

The Legacy of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

Released in 1998, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was a massive hit at the box office. The film featured the dynamic duo of Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda, who played two police officers with contrasting personalities. Their hilarious antics, catchy songs, and memorable dialogues made it a beloved classic.

Tiger Shroff’s Role in the Franchise

Tiger Shroff, known for his high-octane action sequences and impressive dance moves, stepped into the shoes of Chote Miyan along with Bade Miyan Akshay Kumar in the film’s reboot set to release in couple of days on Eid 2024.

Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff will return in the sequel, while the villain, played by the fabulous Prithviraj Sukumaran, will change. Ali Abbas Zafar will return as the franchise helmer.

Now, with the confirmation of a franchise, fans can look forward to more adventures featuring the quirky duo.

End-Credit Clues

The end-credit scenes of the recent adaptation dropped subtle hints about the franchise’s future. Tiger Shroff himself emphasized this, stating, “Once you see the end-credit scenes, you will realize that a sequel is not just a possibility but a certainty.”

Disastrous Advance Booking For Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

All this sequel proposition, of course, depends on the box office performance of the first film in the proposed franchise. Tiger Shroff’s previous film Ganapath was also planned as a franchise. The disastrous no-show of the film at the box office hurriedly put curtains to the franchise plans.

Akshay Kumar & Tiger Shroff starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was struggling with one average song after another followed by below par trailer. Still the film is one of the highly anticipated movies of 2024 in terms of budget.

There were lot of expectations around two biggies clashing on Eid. Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer BMCM touted as next big release from Bollywood though poor songs followed by average trailer meant writing on the wall.

Situation is so drastic right now that paid critics and makers are in shock. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan has sold around 4,090 tickets for paid previews on 10th March. At the moment, BMCM heading for under 4 crore nett start and Maidaan for 1 crore start.

To put things in perspective, Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express collected 6.75 crore nett (9 crore gross) in paid previews from 7 pm onwards on Eid 2013. It seems BMCM will fail to cross that number too after 11 years!
