Ishq Vishk Rebound: Sequel To Shahid Kapoor’s Debut Film, To Release In Cinemas On June 28, Watch Announcement Video

The romantic comedy Ishq Vishk, which marked the debut of Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao in Bollywood, is getting a sequel after 21 years. Producer Ramesh Taurani, who backed the original film, has announced that the second instalment of the franchise, titled Ishq Vishk Rebound, will hit the theatres on June 28, 2024.

Ishq Vishk Rebound to feature new ensemble cast

Ishq Vishk Rebound will feature a new generation of actors, including Rohit Saraf, Pashmina Roshan, Jibraan Khan and Naila Grrewal. The film will be directed by Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari, who has previously helmed acclaimed Marathi films like Nautanki Saala and Harishchandrachi Factory. Ramesh Taurani and his wife Jaya Taurani will produce the film under their banner Tips Films.

Ishq Vishk, which released in 2003, was a sleeper hit that earned rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. The film revolved around the love triangle between Rajiv (Shahid Kapoor), Payal (Amrita Rao) and Alisha (Shenaz Treasury). The film also featured Yash Tonk, Satish Shah, Vishal Malhotra and Neelima Azeem in supporting roles. The film was directed by Ken Ghosh and written by Vinod Ranganath.
