Mr. & Mrs. Mahi, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, is just a few days away from releasing in cinemas. The trailer of the sports drama, showcasing the lead actors playing cricket, has already increased the excitement among audiences.
The anticipation for Mr and Mrs Mahi, directed by Sharan Sharma and featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, reached a new high as the makers dropped the film’s first single last Wednesday. Now 2nd song from the film will be out tomorrow!
Now, it has been learned that the movie has used the famous scoop shot of Indian cricketer Surya Kumar Yadav. Surya has also praised the trailer of the film.

Today, May 19, Indian cricketer Surya Kumar Yadav took to social media to showcase his support and appreciation for the upcoming movie, Mr. & Mrs. Mahi.
Sharing the trailer on his Story, Surya wrote, “Looks so good. Can’t wait. All the best to the whole unit,” accompanied by the nazar amulet and red heart emoji. He also tagged actors Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, along with director Sharan Sharma and producer Karan Johar.
Reacting to Surya’s praise, Janhvi revealed that they had attempted his scoop shot in the film. She wrote, “We attempted your famous scoop shot!!! Hope we did it justice! Thank you.”
Directed by Sharan Sharma, known for his directorial debut with Gunjan Saxena – The Kargil Girl (2020), Mr And Mrs Mahi has been eagerly anticipated since its announcement in November 2021.
In January 2022, glimpses of Janhvi Kapoor preparing for her role as a cricketer alongside Dinesh Karthik were shared by the makers.
Initially slated for release on October 7, 2023, Mr And Mrs Mahi faced delays but is now gearing up for its theatrical debut. For Janhvi Kapoor, this marks her fourth theatrical release following Dhadak (2018), Roohi (2021), and Mili (2022).
Janhvi Kapoor & Rajkummar Rao’s Other Upcoming Projects
She is also lined up for two more theatrical releases this year, including the political thriller Ulajh and the Pan India film Devara alongside Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan.
As for Rajkummar Rao, besides Srikanth and Mr And Mrs Mahi, audiences can anticipate his appearances in Stree 2 and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video later in 2024.
