Music composer Anirudh Ravichander, who made his Bollywood debut with Jawan, shared his admiration for Shah Rukh Khan at the film’s success meet in Mumbai today. The young music composer said that he watched SRK’s film Kal Ho Naa Ho seven times and cried every time the film ended. He also said that he took advice from SRK about girls and that it was a dream come true to work with him.
Anirudh On Being A SRK Fan
Anirudh at success meet of Jawan said, “When I was small I watched Kal Ho Na Ho 7 times and I would cry every time the film ended. I didn’t know I would make my Bollywood debut with King Khan. I would take advice from him about girls.”
The music composer also added, “When I heard that SRK had heard my song for the first time, it was like a dream come true. I have been an SRK fan forever. When I was in the US, I watched Swades and it made me want to come back to India.”
Moreover, rapper Raja Kumari also opened up about creating the viral Jawan anthem. She said that as soon as she heard that there was SRK and a couple of “badass women”, she knew “this was it”. And, towards the end, she thanked Anirudh for giving her the opportunity.

Kal Ho Naa Ho, released in 2003, is a classic romantic comedy-drama directed by Nikhil Advani and written by Karan Johar. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta in the lead roles, with Jaya Bachchan, Sushma Seth, Reema Lagoo, Lillete Dubey, and Delnaaz Irani in supporting roles. SRK And Vijay Sethupathi’s Mutual Admiration And Epic Banter
The highlight of the event was the love-filled banter between Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay Sethupathi. The two actors started a mutual admiration society that left everyone in splits. Talking about the film’s huge success, Vijay said, “Don’t ask me. First of all, I didn’t expect so much love from the first day of its release in Chennai. So many people called me and said that they couldn’t get the tickets for Jawan for the first day and first show. People love him (Shah Rukh Khan) so much and it’s not a surprise for me. Well, Shah Rukh Khan – the name itself is enough.”
In response to this, SRK also couldn’t stop praising Vijay and said that it was a blessing that he said yes. So much so, that Shah Rukh joked that he could propose to Vijay after the event. “I love you more, sir. I think, after the press conference, I can propose to you and we can be married, sir.” Vijay smiled and said, “There’s nothing wrong in it sir.”

Talking about the cast and crew of Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan expressed, “The wonderful Deepika Padukone is stunning, all the ladies in the film are beautiful. I think Vijay Sethupathi is outstanding, aur Sunil Grover kamaal hain, aur mera toh jawab hi nahi. But iss film ke asli heroes and heroines woh technicians hai jinhone isko 4 saal se banaya hai (…Sunil Grover is exceptional, and as for me, well, there’s no comparison. But the true heroes and heroines of this film are the technicians who have worked on it for the past four years).”
