Tehran is written by Ritesh Shah and Ashish Prakash Verma and marks the feature directorial debut of ad filmmaker Arun Gopalan. It is a geo-political thriller. Talking about Tehran, John had told l, “If you’re invested in the Russia-Ukraine crisis, wonder what China is doing, what Iran is doing, where does Palestine fit in this whole thing, Tehran is about all of this. It’s a stunning film.”

John Abrahm starrer Tehran might get pushed to May from 26th April as makers might avoid clash with Ajay Devgn starrer Neeraj Pandey film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha.
As per sources close to the film, “Tehran might come on 3rd May or 17th May. As of now makers are contemplating to release the film in May as they do not want unnecessary loss of business due to clash with Ajay Devgn starrer Neeraj Pandey film Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha.”
Tehran Trailer Gets Censored
Last week trailer of Tehran was censored. Length of the trailer is 2 minute 30 seconds and it is intriguing action packed trailer. Film is John Abraham’s first solo release in last few years as he was last seen in Ek Villain Returns along with Arjun Kapoor and with Shah Rukh Khan in all time blockbuster Pathaan.
Manushi Chillar Speaks About Tehran
Manushi Chillar, an actor, has wrapped up filming for the drama Tehran, which also stars John Abraham. The movie, which recently began production, was extensively shot in Glasgow, Mumbai, and Delhi. The third schedule of Tehran started in the final week of September, and she filmed for 15 days, putting in demanding night shots through Delhi’s backstreets.
Manushi shared her incredible experience from the filming, saying, “I want to learn and grow with every project that I get an opportunity to do. I want to constantly evolve into becoming an actor who is formidable in her craft and dependable to deliver performances that hopefully touch the hearts and minds of audiences. Tehran is one such film.”
“Shooting for Tehran was an enriching experience. I learnt something new every single day! In the run up to the film’s wrap, I was only shooting nights! So, I might have ended up with 15 sleepless nights but I was satiated as an artiste because I got to understand the craft so differently, primarily because the genre is so exciting. This was my first long night shoot schedule of my career and I enjoyed it every single night.” Manushi further added.
