Anupam Kher stars in the recent movie called “Uunchai” in a Sooraj Barjatya’s directorial which also has Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani and others in pivotal roles. The 2022 year has turned out to be a grand one for the actor from The Kashmir Files to Karthikeya 2 and now Uunchai.
He was recently at the Mashable’s The Bombay Journey show, where the host asked him about the kind of genre he would now like to attempt. He responded by flexing his muscles. The host compared in terms of John Abraham. “But we expect that from John. With all due respect to him, usse mere jitna lamba dialogue bulwa lo na (try giving him one of my monologues),” stated Anupam Kher.
Kher added, “He can do it, I’m sure… Sometimes, an actor gets fixed in his own image, I think it’s important to break the mould. And you can expect great action from John, he has such a wonderful body, but I think he can also act very well. He does.”
In March, he had expressed annoyance at a journalist’s question who questioned him about The Kashmir File’s success and he called it “Ghise Pite”, rebuking them for asking about action roles and toned body.
Meanwhile, John was seen this year in the films Attack: Part 1, and Ek Villain Returns. He will next be seen as the main antagonist in the action thriller Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone.
