Juhi Chawla recently reminisced about a poignant moment from Shah Rukh Khan’s early career struggles during an event hosted by the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She shared how Shah Rukh Khan faced a setback when his beloved black Gypsy car was repossessed due to payment issues.
During the adversity, Juhi Chawla comforted him, assuring her friend SRK that brighter days lay ahead.

“He had a black Gypsy. But it was taken away one day because he couldn’t pay the EMI, or there was something,” Juhi recalled, reflecting on that difficult time. She vividly remembered Shah Rukh’s dejected visit to their film set, where she offered words of encouragement: “I told him, ‘Don’t worry, you’ll have many more cars one day.’ And he still remembers that. Because it’s true. Look at him today,” Juhi said with a smile.
She Also Spoke About SRK’s Early Day Struggles In Mumbai
Juhi also shed light on Shah Rukh Khan’s early days in Mumbai, highlighting his small beginnings and dedication to his craft. “Back then, he didn’t have a house in Mumbai. He used to mingle with the crew members, drink tea with them, and eat with them,” she disclosed. During those formative years, Shah Rukh Khan tirelessly worked across multiple film projects, including ‘Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman’, ‘Dil Aashna Hai’, and ‘Deewana’.
Beyond their on-screen collaborations in films like Darr, Duplicate, and Yes Boss, Juhi Chawla and Shah Rukh Khan are also co-owners of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League, showcasing their successful partnership in business as well.
