Ranbir Kapoor has returned to the set of his upcoming film “Animal,” helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The actor was recently observed filming a scene in a hospital for the crime thriller, co-starring Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna. A short clip has been shared on Twitter by a fan page of the actor, featuring Ranbir donning a blue hospital gown as he makes his way towards the lift. With a massive beard and unkempt long hair, Ranbir strides towards the lift, grabbing his phone from the unit boy beside him. Meanwhile, another man in a long red coat follows him from behind.

Many fans remarked on Ranbir’s look in the clip and how gigantic he seemed in his new rugged avatar. A fan stated, “He looks so giant!” while another wrote how the actor resembled so much like the character Kabir Singh, and mentioned, “kabir singh connection???” Kabir Singh was also helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and featured Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in lead roles. While another remarked with fire emoticons, a user also said, “Tabaahi (destruction) loading!”
In a promotional interview with SS Rajamouli last year, Sandeep Reddy Vanga shared some information about Ranbir’s character in Animal, stating that there would be no similarity between his character and Kabir Singh, but there would be violence and a focus on character development in both films. The first look poster for Animal was released in January, revealing Ranbir’s character wearing a blood-stained white shirt, smoking a cigarette, and holding a bloody axe under his arm while staring at someone. The movie was filmed in Himachal Pradesh and Saif Ali Khan’s Pataudi Palace.
Ranbir’s most recent appearance was in Luv Ranjan’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, a romantic comedy with Shraddha Kapoor, which grossed over ₹100 crore nett at the domestic box office within 11 days of its release on March 8. Animal is set to release in theaters on August 11, 2023.
