In a surprising turn of events, Kangana Ranaut, the outspoken Bollywood actor who is known for her criticism of insiders in the film industry, recently praised fellow Himachali actor Yami Gautam for her consistently successful work. Kangana took to social media to congratulate Yami on her latest film, Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga, which has reportedly become the most-viewed Indian film globally on Netflix in the first two weeks of its release.
Kangana posted Yami’s Instagram story on her own account and wrote that Yami has been quietly delivering back-to-back hit films, which is inspiring. Yami’s Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga, which also stars Sunny Kaushal, Indraneil Sengupta and Sharad Kelkar, is directed by Ajay Singh. While reposting, she said, “@yamigautam is doing so well, consistently and quietly delivering the most successful films…so inspiring. Congratulations to the entire team.”
This is not the first time Kangana has praised Yami. When Yami got married to filmmaker Aditya Dhar, Kangana congratulated her and complimented her attire. Both actors hail from Himachal Pradesh, and Kangana had previously posted a picture of Yami as a bride on social media, calling her a raw mountain girl turned bride.
Meanwhile, Kangana is busy with her directorial debut, Emergency, in which she plays the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film also stars Mahima Chaudhry, Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Milind Soman, and Vishak Nair.
Yami, on the other hand, recently performed a puja ceremony with her husband to express gratitude for the love and success she has been receiving. She shared pictures of the ceremony on social media, thanking Maa Durga and Lord Shiva for her blessings.
