‘Thalaivi,’ starring Kangana Ranaut, is perhaps one of the most anticipated films of the coming years. The much-anticipated film is finally going to hit the theatres, thanks to the lifting of COVID-19 theatre lockdown regulations. The makers have officially stated that Vijay’s directorial film will be released on September 10th.
Slipping into the character of Jayalalithaa, Kangana Ranaut impressed the audience and critics, with her remarkable transformation to ace every phase of the actress-turned-politician’s life.
‘Thalaivi,’ directed by AL Vijay and starring Arvind Swami as AIADMK leader MGR, is a biopic on J Jayalalithaa. The film’s music is being composed by GV Prakash. The film, which follows the life of former actress and late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, was originally scheduled to be released on April 23, but was postponed owing to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Thalaivii, presented by Vibri Motion pictures, Karma Media Entertainment and Zee Studios in association with Gothic Entertainment and Sprint films has been produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh and Co produced by Hitesh Thakkar and Thirumal Reddy with Brinda Prasad as the Creative Producer. Thalaivii is set to release in theatres worldwide in Hindi, Tamil and Telegu by Zee Studios on 10th September, 2021.
