Rishab Shetty’s Kantara fame Sapthami Gowda is ready to make her debut in Bollywood with Vivek Agnihotri’s much-awaited film ‘The Vaccine War’.
Sapthami took to Twitter to share her excitement and wrote, ” I’m glad and excited to be a part of this project! Thank you @vivekagnihotri sir for this opportunity.” Agnihotri quote-tweeted her post and welcomed her. He wrote, “Welcome Sapthami. Your role in #TheVaccineWar will touch many hearts.”

The shoot of the film has already begun. Now the latest update about the film is the joining of Sapthami Gowda in the film. For the unversed, Sapthami came in limelight after her role of Leela in the superhit film Kantara. Audience loved her role as Shiva’s lover.
The actress recently shared a Cinema Express report where Vivek talked about casting her. Vivek said, “I’m making an Indian film, and we wanted to bring the right cast and work with good actors irrespective of where they come from.”
He added, “We have finished the Lucknow schedule, and Sapthami will join the team in the Hyderabad schedule, which will start in a couple of days. I saw Kantara and liked her performance as Leela. I so wanted to have her to be a part of my film, and when I called Sapthami, she graciously agreed to do the role. I’m very happy about her joining the team of The Vaccine War.”

Meanwhile, The Vaccine War is based on Covid-19 pandemic in India and how Indian scientists develop the most effective vaccine to save lives. Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, the film will hit the theaters on August 15, 2023 in 11 languages.
