Rishab Shetty‘s much-awaited film, Kantara: Chapter 1, is setting the Indian box office on fire. After a phenomenal start, the film showed massive growth on its third day (Saturday), collecting approximately ₹63.50 crore. This is a huge jump of nearly 25% from its Friday earnings.
With this powerful performance, the three-day total for the film now stands at a staggering ₹185.50 crore. All eyes are now on the extended weekend total, which is expected to cross the ₹250 crore mark, with early estimates suggesting a finish of around ₹255 crore.
Kantara: Chapter 1 Day-Wise Box Office Collection
The film has shown a strong hold at the ticket windows since its release. While Friday saw a natural drop after the huge opening day, the massive growth on Saturday proves the film has been loved by the audience.

How The Film Performed Across India
The Saturday growth was mainly driven by the Hindi version in North India, which saw a jump of nearly 60%. In the South, markets like Karnataka were already running at near-full capacity but still managed to grow by about 10%. In fact, the film recorded the biggest Saturday of all time in Karnataka, beating the record of KGF 2. Tamil Nadu and Kerala also showed good growth.

Hindi Version Box Office Collections
While the Hindi dubbed version showed the most growth over the weekend, its overall performance has been slightly below the massive expectations. For other big sequels from the South, the Hindi belt was a major driver of collections. While the numbers for Kantara: Chapter 1 are good, they haven’t matched that trend. If the Hindi version had performed as expected, the film’s total collections would be competing with some of the biggest blockbusters in Indian cinema history.
