On the second episode of his talk show Koffee With Karan Season 7, Sara Ali Khan was almost completely ignored in favor of Janhvi Kapoor, and Karan Johar has come under fire for this on social media. At the Thursday Mumbai launch of the Liger trailer, the filmmaker was questioned over the same. He vehemently refuted this, saying he has known them since they were about three years old.
Karan said, “That’s completely untrue. I was just feeling bad because Janhvi Kapoor lost both rounds. She lost the rapid fire round and she lost the game round. I was perhaps just trying to be nice. In that process, I think everybody read it wrong. I love them both dearly, they are not only both wonderful artists and girls but they are kids I have known ever since they were possibly three years old so there is not a question of a bias, not with them, not ever.”
Sara and Janhvi discussed their friendship throughout the lockdown, their trip to Kedarnath together, and other topics in the second episode of Koffee With Karan. While Janhvi is the daughter of Boney Kapoor and Sridevi, Sara is the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. Both are actors who are gradually establishing themselves in Bollywood.
