Dharmatic Entertainment, owned by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, and Netflix’s deal have come to an end. The creators struck an exclusive deal with Netflix in 2019 to deliver fiction and non-fiction episodes and films to the streaming giant. While it’s unclear what went wrong, Dharmatic now has the ability to interact with other streaming services.
Dharmatic and Netflix, according to a report, will continue to work on the projects that have already been signed on. Several projects have been announced, with completion dates ranging from 12 to 18 months. Some shows, such as Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, Finding Anamika, and Meenakshi Sundareshwar, are returning for fresh seasons. It’s unknown whether they’ll continue to work when the projects are finished.
Searching For Sheela, Ajeeb Daastaans, and Guilty are some of the projects under Dharmatic Entertainment that have been released so far.
Meanwhile, Karan Johar is in the midst of filming Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.
