The two companies will work together to produce diverse and captivating content for both theatrical and digital releases. Dharma Productions is known for producing mainstream cinema, while Sikhya Entertainment is known for independent cinema, including the Academy Award-winning documentary The Elephant Whisperers.
The partners aim to set new benchmarks for creativity and innovation in the industry. While no projects were announced under the deal, the partners said they would start to reveal details in two to three months. The collaboration combines Dharma’s mainstream expertise and talent discovery with Sikhya’s experience in independent cinema. The partnership is expected to bring unique and fresh stories to the screen. The two production houses will continue to co-exist and function as two separate studios for their respective projects.
