In exciting news for Bollywood fans, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani are set to star in an upcoming romantic comedy produced by their close friend and mentor Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Productions.
This will be the second time the two actors will be sharing screen space, after the critically acclaimed and commercially successful film Shershaah (2021), which was based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, a martyr of the 1999 Indo-Pak war.
According to Bollywood Hungama, Sidharth is now in the mood for a lighthearted film with his co-star and real-life girlfriend Kiara, after the emotionally heavy Shershaah. It was Sidharth who pitched the idea to Karan Johar.
The yet untitled film is said to be a fun entertainer with a quirky touch to it, and not as emotionally charged as Shershaah. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, a source said, “The script has been locked by Sid and much like Shershaah, it’s he who approached Karan to get the movie rolling. This is a fun entertainer with a quirky touch to it and not emotional like Shershaah because Sid believes people want to see him and Kiara in a happy film.”
The rest of the crew and the title of the film are still being kept under wraps. Fans of the duo are eagerly waiting for more updates on this exciting project, which is sure to be a treat for audiences looking for a light-hearted romantic comedy.
