Kareena Kapoor Khan, one of the most popular and versatile actors in Bollywood, is all set to make her OTT debut with Sujoy Ghosh‘s film titled Jaane Jaan. The film, which is an adaptation of the Japanese novel The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino, also stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma in key roles. The trailer is set to be out on 5th September and film is scheduled to be released on Netflix on September 21, 2023.
The makers of the film have recently unveiled a new poster of the film, featuring Kareena Kapoor Khan in an intense and captivating look. In the poster, Kareena can be seen with her eyes doing all the talking, as she lip-syncs the evergreen song Jaane Jaan from Intaquam. The poster also announces that the trailer of the film will be out on September 5.

Kareena Kapoor Khan On Her OTT Debut
Kareena Kapoor Khan, who has been a part of several blockbuster films in her career spanning over two decades, has expressed her excitement and nervousness about her OTT debut. In a statement, she said, “I have the jitters of a newcomer. I am very excited about my OTT debut with Netflix on this wonderful project and I can’t wait for everyone to watch it.”
She also praised Sujoy Ghosh for his vision and storytelling skills. She said, “From the day I read ‘Devotion of Suspect X’, I wanted to adapt it into a film. It was the most amazing love story I had ever read and today thanks to Sujoy Ghosh that story is alive on screen. We all worked very hard to tell this story and hopefully, the audience will love it as much as we do.”
Jaane Jaan: A Mystery Thriller
Jaane Jaan is a mystery thriller that revolves around a single mother who tries to cover up the murder of her estranged husband with help from her neighbour. The film is based on the 2005 Japanese novel The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino, which has been translated into several languages and has sold over 10 million copies worldwide. The novel is also part of the Detective Galileo series, which features a physics professor who solves crimes using his logic and intelligence.

The film is produced by 12th Street Entertainment and Northern Lights Films in association with Kross Pictures and Balaji Motion Pictures. The cinematography is done by Avik Mukhopadhyay and the music is composed by Sachin–Jigar.
Jaane Jaan promises to be a gripping and thrilling ride for the viewers, who will witness Kareena Kapoor Khan in a never-seen-before avatar. Sujoy Ghosh To Direct Shah Rukh Khan And Suhana Khan In Spy Thriller
Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan are reportedly gearing up for their first film together, which will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the maker of successful thrillers like Kahaani and Badla. The film will be a spy thriller with Suhana playing the lead role of a spy and Shah Rukh playing her handler.
According to sources, Shah Rukh’s role in the film will not be a cameo but an extended one, similar to what he did in Dear Zindagi. His role will be pivotal in helping Suhana’s character in the movie. The pre-production for the film is already in progress and the shooting is expected to start soon.
The film will be a collaboration between Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Siddharth Anand’s Marflix. Shah Rukh is also producing upcoming action film Jawan, which also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. The film is slated to release on September 7, 2023.
