The matter has been scheduled for hearing in the week of February 21. On the PIL filed by Karni Sena vice president Sangeeta Singh, a bench comprised of Justice A.R. Masoodi and Justice N.K. Jauhri issued the order.
The petition demanded that the film be banned because it depicted Prithviraj, a Hindu emperor, in a “wrong and vulgar” manner, causing wounded feelings. According to the petitioner, the film’s trailer demonstrates that it is divisive.
