The year 2020 has brought OTT platform into the centre stage. Following the coronavirus pandemic and nationwide lockdown, many filmmakers tuned to the digital medium to release their films. However, filmmakers’ this move has surprised the celebrities.
Even though after more than nine months the theatres resumed working, the business in most parts of the country starting October, many makers are still opting for a direct-to-OTT release. However, a lot of celebrities have been showing their concern over OTT releases.
According to an entertainment daily’s report, Kartik Aaryan has added a clause in his agreement that prevents the direct release/premiere of his movies on OTT. The first movie where this clause has been inserted in the agreement is Dhamaka. This is to safeguard the direct OTT premiere.
However, the makers can release the film on OTT once the film already got the theatrical release.
Meanwhile, Kartik will start working on Ram Madhvani’s Dhamaka which will go on the floors next week. As per the reports film will be wrapped up in 45 to 50 days in a start-to-finish schedule.
