On his birthday last year, Kartik Aaryan announced his next film Dhamaka, which is directed by Ram Madhvani. Kartik Aaryan plays the the leading role of a journalist, Arjun Pathak who gets embroiled in a situation with a mysterious bomb blast.
The film also co-stars Mrunal Thakur and is slated to release directly on digital platform, Netflix.
The film was expected to release in summer of 2021 but now we have learnt that due to the second wave of coronavirus, the release has been pushed to September.
“Dhamaka is an important film for the platform, and they were looking at a right time to release it. The initial plan was to unveil it in June, but for now they have decided on September. Meanwhile, the post production work on the film is going on in full swing,” informs a source to Pinkvilla.

Meanwhile, Kartik will resume shooting for Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 next month in Mumbai. He will also be seen in Rohit Dhawan’s Hindi remake of a Telugu action-drama and a Sajid Nadiadwala production.
