Merry Christmas, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif, was supposed to be released in December of this year. Interestingly, the psychological thriller would compete at the box office with the films Cirkus, starring Ranveer Singh, and Ganapath, starring Tiger Shroff. But as of late, we’ve learned that the movie’s creators have opted to delay the film’s release.
According to Bollywood Hungama’s dependable source in the industry, the new release date will be as follows, “Initially Merry Christmas was to release on December 23, but with Ganapath and Cirkus releasing on the same day it will be a massive fight at the box office. In such a case, the film would face immense competition to entice the audience. To avoid such a scenario and of course to ensure Merry Christmas gets enough eyeballs and to maximize its revenue the producers have decided on altering the release of their film.”
Ramesh Taurani, however, denies the reports that ‘Merry Christmas’ release has been delayed and asserts that nothing has changed as of yet. Merry Christmas will still be released on December 23 at the scheduled time. Regarding the movie itself, Ramesh Taurani under his Tips label produces Merry Christmas, an exciting thriller.
But as of now film is rescheduled for next year for sure and Ranveer Singh starrer Cirkus will be solo Christmas release.
